ASA AAU – A COMPLETE AAU BASKETBALL PROGRAM

ASA Hoops is a “teach first” AAU program; we value the instruction process as much as the result. Our teaching approach creates highly disciplined players who can apply strategy, purpose, and forethought in real time on the basketball court. As educators, ASA feels strongly our core values are important traits in developing young people into successful adults.

Over the last 6 years ASA Hoops has been a leader in the Massachusetts AAU community. Each year we have multiple teams participate in the Massachusetts State Tournament often advancing to Elite 8 or Final 4. Past seasons have seen Super Regional Championships, National Qualifiers and National participants. ASA’s greatest accomplishment year in and year out is watching our players reach their goals participating not only at the High School but also collegiately.

Experienced Educators

ASA Hoops is an elite teaching basketball program that boasts some of the best High School and youth coaches in New England. Our experienced and highly motivated staff will use a variety of techniques to maximize your child’s potential. We truly believe that not all children react to the same approach and we must adapt our coaching styles to meet individuals needs while maintaining the harmony of team chemistry. The structure, discipline, work ethic and life lessons our players learn while with us are valuable assets for life.

Basketball Philosophy

ASA’s style of play will highlight the changes in today’s game. ASA coaches believe all players must learn to play the game facing the basket and develop the perimeter skills that will allow them to thrive in any basketball environment. Our style of play enables players to explore and expand various aspects of their game, so ASA offenses emphasize cutting, passing and shooting for all players. ASA defense philosophy revolves around man-to-man concepts and true TEAM defense.

Accomplishments

Over the last 5 years ASA Hoops has been a leader in the Massachusetts AAU community. Each year we have multiple teams participate in the Massachusetts State Tournament often advancing to Elite 8 or Final 4. Past seasons have seen Super Regional Championships, National Qualifiers and this past July our 6th grade boy’s team traveled to Virginia Beach to attend Nationals. ASA’s greatest accomplishment year in and year out is watching our players reach their goals participating not only at the High School but also collegiately.

Locations

ASA will offer two hubs this fall: Greater Boston and Framingham / Southborough. We welcome players from all communities; our hubs define our practice locations not necessarily where all of our families reside.

Financial assistance

ASA recognizes the fees associated with youth sports can be costly. We welcome families from every socio-economic backgrounds and do our best to assist financially when needed. Starting January 2015, ASA will offer a first of it’s kind “give-back program” to assist families in need.
